Harry Styles’ new album, Harry’s House, tops the Billboard charts in its first week, selling more than 500,000 units
Harry Styles’ new album Harry’s House debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 after selling more than 521,500 album units in its US debut week.
The 28-year-old singer’s new album for the week ending May 26 has had the best-selling week of 2022 so far; and as fellow Columbia Records artist Adele sold more than 839,000 units for her album 30 in the week ended November 25, 2021.
The Grammy-winning artist’s two previous solo albums – his 2017 self-titled album and 2019 release Fine Line – also debuted at number one in their respective first weeks.

The English singer’s latest album also set a one-week vinyl sales record as more than 182,000 vinyl copies were sold in the US, which Billboard reported as the most since 1991, according to Luminate tracking.
It broke a mark set by Taylor Swift’s Red (Taylor’s Version) last November after selling more than 114,000 vinyl copies of the record.
The 182,000 vinyl sales made Harry’s House the best-selling album on the Billboard 200 for all but three weeks this year, the outlet reported.
The release of Styles’ new album was supported by its lead single, As It Was, which has been number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for the past three weeks.

“Along with all of you, I have been absolutely devastated by the recent spate of mass shootings in America, culminating no later than Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas,” Styles said in a statement posted to his social media .
He added, “On our North American tour, we will be partnering with Everytown who are working to end gun violence, donating to support their efforts and sharing their suggested actions.”
Styles’ sold-out arena tour, Love on Tour 2022, is slated to begin August 15 in Toronto and will include 42 shows in cities including New York City, Los Angeles and Chicago.
