Kylie Jenner’s boyfriend Travis Scott has opened up his wallet to college students trying to get ahead in life.
On Tuesday, TMZ reported that the rapper donated $1 million to black college students who earned above a 3.5 GPA.
The gift was part of his Project Heal initiative, launched in March and overseen by his sister, Jordan Webster. It appears to be an attempt to fix his image after 10 people died at his Astroworld concert in Houston, Texas in November.

“Excellence abounds in every black household, but too often opportunity isn’t there — and black students are left behind or counted out,” Scott said this week.
“My family and I wanted to change that.
“We congratulate all 100 scholarship holders this year. I know we’re going to see great things from them – and we’re already looking forward to stepping up our work over the next year.”

Scotts Project Heal awarded scholarships to 100 students at HBCUs before they graduate this year.
HBCUs are black colleges and universities in the United States. They were formed prior to the Civil Rights Act of 1964 with the intention of primarily serving the African American community.
The website added that Scott’s students will each receive a $10,000 scholarship as long as they complete their final semester with at least a 3.5 GPA.

The site shared the names of some of the recipients.
Nisha Encarnacion, major in pharmacy from Florida A&M University; Chisom Okwor, major in computer science from Fisk University; and Jordan Massey, major in broadcast journalism from North Carolina Central University.
Travis’ sister Jordan oversaw the gifts. She is also a college graduate, having attended Howard University.
Project Heal was announced in March 2022 and included $5 million in funding. Among other youth-related matters, she wanted to “take much-needed action to support real solutions that make all events the safest places they can be”.
