Rumor has it that they each play alternate versions of Ken and Barbie. Besides, it looks like this Barbie will not be a simple fairy tale like the puppet’s previous animated films. Currently story specifics for Barbie remain under wraps, although posted photos and videos have given viewers an idea of what to expect.
Now, MRBR photos have shared a bunch of new set pics from Barbie, and they find Robbie and Gosling in their matching outdoor outfits with neon knee and elbow pads roller skating on the beach. In some snaps, the stars are surrounded by surfers and beachgoers, in other snaps they’re just chatting while skating, which is believed to be part of the scene they’re filming. The new set photos are among many following the official look of Robbie’s Barbie and Gosling’s shirtless Ken, which WB released earlier this year. Taken together, all of the images set the tone and aesthetic of Barbie, which appears to be extravagant, opulent and perfect. Interestingly, these aren’t the first images to capture Robbie walking in Barbie; A few leaked photos from earlier also saw the actress skate alongside the mystery characters of America Ferrera and Ariana Greenblatt. With a lack of detail, it’s hard to make anything out of it Barbie Pictures, but it is clear that the main characters will be quite active.
