Disgraced Today show host Matt Lauer and his ex-wife, model Annette Roque, reunited this weekend for their daughter’s high school graduation in the Hamptons.
The former couple proudly watched their 18-year-old daughter Romy receive her diploma during her graduation ceremony in East Hampton on Sunday.
Photographers captured Lauer, 64, and Roque, 55, sharing a smile as they greeted each other at the event. It’s unclear if they sat together during the ceremony.
Roque, donning an ivory lace dress, carried a bouquet, presumably for Romy, to the event.
Proud Papa Lauer was seen standing in the crowd and apparently snapping photos of Romy as she crossed the stage. He later walked through the event, phone in hand, wearing a gray suit coat and white baseball cap.
Lauer and Roque divorced in 2019 after 21 years of marriage. Their split comes after what was once the country’s highest-paid TV host, who earned $25 million a year, was ousted from NBC in 2017 after he was accused of workplace sexual harassment.
The couple have three children together: daughter Romy and sons Jack (21) and Thijs (15).

Little is known about Romy’s plans after graduation, as Lauer and Roque have managed to keep their children relatively out of the public spotlight.
However, Romy has seemingly followed in her mother’s footsteps and developed a passion for horseback riding.
Her public TikTok account features clips of her practicing tricks, taking care of her horses, and competing in equestrian competitions.
The teen, like many her age, also uses the account to share viral “TikTok dances” and document events in her life. She had more than 28,000 followers on the platform.
Lauer and Roque appear to be supportive of Romy and have both been seen previously cheering for her at horse shows.
The former TV personality and his longtime girlfriend Shamin Abas also took Romy to a night on the town to celebrate her 18th birthday last October.

Lauer was fired from NBC in 2017 amid a series of sexual harassment allegations detailed in revelations by journalist Ronan Farrow and former Today Show host Katie Couric.
In Farrow’s 2019 novel Catch and Kill: Lies, Spies, and a Conspiracy to Protect Predators, former NBC producer Brooke Nevils accused Lauer of sexually assaulting her during non-consensual sex at the Sochi 2014 Olympics.
Lauer responded to the accusation by saying, “There was absolutely nothing aggressive about this encounter. Brooke didn’t do or say anything about it.’
He was also accused of giving a woman a sex toy and an explicit note of how he planned to use it on her. He was also accused of showing his penis to another woman in his office and performed “F***, Marry or Kill” in the office.
Other anonymous women reportedly complained to NBC about Lauer’s sexual impropriety, with one saying she was called to his office for sex in 2001. He also sometimes questioned female producers about who they had slept with, it was alleged.
There were also reports that Lauer’s office was equipped with a desk knob to lock the door.

She claimed that Lauer had told an unnamed producer to come to the now-infamous office in an “easy-to-take-off skirt.”
She also wrote that Lauer complained to her that he was uncomfortable putting his arm around a co-worker to comfort her when she was crying, for fear he might later face an accusation of inappropriate behavior.
Even before those allegations were made, Couric said her former co-host Lauer told her he thought feminist movements like The Me Too were becoming too powerful.
“This MeToo stuff feels like it’s kind of getting out of hand,” Lauer reportedly told Couric. “It feels like a witch hunt.”
She added that Lauer was “concerned about the lack of due process, the destruction of people’s livelihoods and reputations.”
Couric told Lauer to stop putting his arm around the women because it made them uncomfortable, she writes.
She said she tried to “imagine a scene like that happening,” telling Lauer that “he can’t do that — you can’t put your arm around her.”
