Nick Cannon opened up about how he views his love life, monogamy, relationships and chances of remarrying in a new interview.

Speaking on the opening episode of the All the Way with Shelley Wade Sunday podcast, Cannon, 41, said he doesn’t reject the concept of marriage but has had challenges in his personal life that have made it not feasible.

“At the end of the day, I’m a hopeless romantic, so I love the concept, I love the ceremony in it,” said The Masked Singer personality. “I’ve failed miserably at monogamy and relationships so many times, but God isn’t done with me yet. We’ll find out.’

The San Diego, California native said he continues to grow as a person and as such wouldn’t rule out getting married again.

“I think as I’ve grown, I’ve probably had a few midlife crises in my life,” Cannon said. “I like the man I’m growing up to be and I feel like someone who understands me and can stand by me.”

Cannon said that “acts of service” resonates with him personally, adding that “it’s more about servanthood and feeling like someone can serve one another and where you’re weak, you’re strong.

“And if I can ever find someone who knows how to get me through all my madness, through all my chaos and toxicity, that’s probably someone to rock with for a lifetime.”

The interview came more than a month after Cannon said he opposed the concept of conventional marriage on the It’s Tricky podcast with Raquel Harper.

He added: “It depends on what you call marriage – involving the government, nope – we can go somewhere to do a ceremony.”

Cannon asked why the government [should] be involved in your love life,” said that it “seems so bizarre.”

Cannon was previously in an eight-year marriage to singer Mariah Carey, 53, between 2008 and 2016, and the former couple share twins Maroccan and Monroe Cannon, 11.

He called the wedding “one of the greatest experiences of [his] Life”, since this too was “over”, made him more skeptical about marrying again.

‘Why would I go back if I couldn’t get this right?’ he said. “Once I’ve gone all out in a scenario, to go back to something like that, I’d have to be presented with something I’ve never seen before.

“I’ve done my best in this area and now I feel like there’s a new journey in my life. I’m not going to go back and put myself in this situation again because it doesn’t get better.

On the podcast, Cannon said he doesn’t subscribe to “the traditional sentiment of monogamy.”

In addition to his twins with Carey, Cannon is a father to five other children: Golden, five, and Powerful, 18 months, with Brittany Bell; twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir, one, with Abby De La Rosa; and late son Zen, who tragically died of brain cancer last December, with Alyssa Scott.

Last January he announced that he and model Bre Tiesi are expecting a baby. Sources told TMZ earlier this month that Cannon and De La Rosa are expecting another child this fall.
