Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler is doing “amazingly well” after successfully completing a 30-day rehabilitation program following his battle with addiction.

The 74-year-old rocker is now said to be clean and sober and is doing “amazingly well” after checking out of rehab, family sources told TMZ on Friday.

According to the report, Tyler released himself from rehab earlier this week, having even voluntarily stayed longer than 30 days to ensure he wouldn’t jeopardize his sobriety in the future.

The actor entered rehab last May after relapsing while recovering from recent foot surgery.

TMZ also reported that the singer’s loved ones are “excited” about the progress he’s made in rehab.

Sources stated that the performer is of a “healthy weight” and that his complexion is good.

The media outlet explained that Tyler was aware of the possible consequences that a lack of sobriety could entail.

It was also noted that his friends and family gave him their full support as he continued to recover.

An announcement about the singer’s relapse was previously made by the longtime rock band last May.

The statement read: “As many of you know, our beloved brother Steven has worked on his sobriety for many years. Having undergone foot surgery in preparation for the phase and requiring pain management during the process, he recently relapsed and voluntarily enrolled in a treatment program to focus on his health and recovery.’

They continued: “We will continue our dates for 2022 from September and will update you as soon as possible with further updates. We are devastated that we have caused inconvenience to so many of you, especially our most loyal fans who often travel great distances to experience our shows.

“Thank you for your understanding and support for Steven during this time. If you purchased your tickets through Ticketmaster, you will receive a refund and will receive an email with details shortly. Otherwise, please contact your point of sale for information on refunds.’

TMZ’s sources explained that the singer is more than ready to return to the stage in the near future.

Aerosmith was due to start a series of shows in Las Vegas last month, although performances have been cancelled.

The band’s next show is scheduled for September 4th at the Maine Savings Amphitheater in Bangor.

Her Las Vegas residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM begins September 14 and runs through December 11.

Tyler has been open about his struggles with addictions in the past and opened up about his experiences in a previous interview with Haute Living.

He recalled, “The early ’80s were awful and drugs brought us down. I was the first to be treated. ’88 there was a moment when the management and the band intervened with me.’

The singer further noted that the unexpected event eventually led him to make numerous positive changes in his life.

“Today, because of this moment … I am grateful and I owe them a debt for my sobriety,” he said.
