While the defamation trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard closed a few weeks ago, many appear to still be discuss the verdict. The jury found Heard guilty of three counts of defamation and is now being asked to do so pays her ex-husband a hefty sum of money. It’s possible that some are still wondering what exactly went into the jury’s decision. Well, one of the jurors has spoken out and offered his thoughts on the group’s arguments in the midst of the contentious case. And the person didn’t hold back, even going so far as to say that the group didn’t believe it Aquaman Stern’s “Crocodile Tears”.
Those who watched the televised trial surely know that there were more than a few emotional moments in the courtroom. Amber Heard herself cried as she gave her testimony. However, according to a juror, the actress’ breakdowns didn’t earn her much favor with those who were deliberating the case. The unnamed male juror, reportedly one of five men on the seven-member jury, suggested so Good morning America that he and his colleagues questioned the actress’ actions. He even went so far as to say that they were “uncomfortable” with their addictions:
However, the group’s thoughts on Johnny Depp were reportedly very different. The person went on to say that the Pirates of the Caribbean Actor seemed more believable. The fact that he kept his composure the whole time also seems to have helped:
This isn’t the first time someone has offered their thoughts on why since the high-profile trial ended Amber Heard was not well received by the judges, as Johnny Depp’s lawyers recently spoke on the subject. Attorney Ben Chew said that while his client “owned his issues,” Heard may have been perceived as “not taking responsibility for anything.” But Heard’s attorneys have argued that the “vitriol” of social media may have skewed the group’s view of the actress, and said so she was “demonized” on the Internet. The anonymous juror spoke during his interview GMA, and said the jury “followed the evidence.” He also claimed that he and another colleague are off social media and that those who “make it a point” to stay away from such material.
Despite ruling in favor of the Oscar nominee, the judge doesn’t seem to believe that the actor is completely infallible in this situation. Later in the interview, he shared thoughts on what he thinks happened between the former couple:
Amber Heard released a statement shortly after the verdict was announced, expressing her “disappointment” with the decision. Last week she gave a sit-down interview in which she claimed that the process and the media’s portrayal of her was not “fair”. She also claimed that her ex gained favor because he’s “a beloved character and people feel like they know him.” Johnny Depp, on the other hand, seemed happy with how things were going. In his own statement, he said he felt “at peace” after the trial.
It is currently unclear whether Amber Heard will actually appeal. In the meantime, Johnny Depp is preparing to return to court due to a physical situation. Only time will tell how both situations play out for the stars.
