Bret Michaels gave fans an update on Saturday about his recent hospitalization, telling them he’s not “feeling at his best on Sunday” but plans to “keep rocking out” at his Saturday night show in Jacksonville, Fla.
“First of all I want to say thank you to everyone for all your incredible congratulations. It’s been a rough couple of days for me,” Michaels said while looking healthy in a video he posted to his social media. “Thanks, it means the world to me.”
He said he’s in Jacksonville, Fla. and “ready to rock. I’ll give you 1,000% of whatever’s in my tank right now. I don’t feel good on Sunday but I will keep rocking and bring it and I can’t be more grateful for such an amazing amazing family, friends and fans. Thanks.”

“Sick and in the pouring rain, Bret is giving 100 percent,” he captioned the photo on Instagram.
He tweeted: “Jacksonville #Florida fans in the pouring rain rocked my world. I really love you and I’m sorry I was sick.”
He canceled his meet and greet in Jacksonville, telling fans in a statement that he always gives “1000%” at meet and greets and that his doctors have advised him to “rest and try to get as much energy as possible into the.” to save the show”.

His band Poison had to cancel their Nashville show Thursday when the frontman was hospitalized.
A day after his hospitalization, he said in a statement posted to Instagram he had an “unforeseen medical complication,” without elaborating.

The band reportedly took to the stage on Thursday to announce to fans that Michaels had suffered a “bad reaction” to medication.
Michaels was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 6. It’s unclear if this had anything to do with his hospitalization. TMZ reported that it may also have been linked to the coronavirus.

In the earlier update, he said he hopes Nashville fans “rocked hard” with Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, who Poison is touring with.
The tour began in mid-June and is expected to end in Las Vegas on September 9th.
Her next scheduled show is Sunday in Philadelphia, Mississippi.

Sharing another update on his website on Friday, he said, “There are not enough words of thanks and gratitude for the well wishes from family, friends and fans,” he wrote. “I can’t thank Nashville’s incredible and determined medical staff enough for helping me as you can see at multiple IV sites to run tests and administer fluids. I’m committed to trying to rock Jacksonville and returning to Nashville for a show someday soon.”
