Creepy celebrity sisters pull off the ultimate AGT prank

That America’s Got Talent Judges are known for their pranks, most notably last season when Simon Cowell pretended to be fatally shot in the chest with an arrow, nearly scaring his co-star Sofia Vergara to death. But this week it was a contestant who pulled the prank — and it was an expert prank because it turned out that this particular “candidate” had a lot of experience on the AGT set to.

About halfway on Tuesday America’s Got Talent In the third casting episode of Season 17, creepy cosplayers/TikTok challengers Monique and Stefani — collectively known as the Duo Rag Dolls — jumped onto the stage looking like the ugly stepsisters of Melanie Martinez or The night before Christmas‘s Sally with her Harajuku girl aprons, Crystal Methyd-off-Drag Race Clown color, pastel Sia wigs, giant Hello Kitty hair bows, and Kardashian-esque voice buns. The self-proclaimed “ultimate influencers” sluggishly promised “what we do is very creatively beautiful and extremely unique” and “like Broadway,” and they certainly piqued the judges’ interest. But when they started hacking around aimlessly AGT Taking to the stage for Britney Spears’ “Toxic” with their jumbo lollipops and man-sized Care Bears, none of their seemingly unrehearsed performances were very influential or beautiful, and as a result, the bizarre duo received four red crosses and several rounds of boos from the audience.

“If someone showed up at rehearsals last night it would have been a lot better,” Stefani grumbled passive-aggressively, throwing her lavender-colored beast under the proverbial bus. “You won’t like fault me right now,” Monique snapped back, though she admitted she was “a little off” during Duo Rag Dolls’ childish routine. “You were abominable. You were absolutely awful,” Stefani countered, after which Stefani and Monique started throwing each other around like, well, rag dolls. and the was when her shtick actually got entertaining.

As the wigs literally flew and the girls rushed into the audience, slamming their bodies into Simon’s judge’s desk and repeatedly activating his red buzzer, one of them met Simon’s confused gaze and barked, “That was it extreme enough for you?” And that’s when Simon realized the duo were worthy of Rag Dolls — in a big reveal The Masked Singer– earlier, former AGT: Extreme Judge/pro wrestler Nikki Bella and her twin sister, WWE wrestler Brie Bella.

“You’re very naughty you two,” giggled Simon as he changed his “no” to a “yes.” Too bad it was all one big hoax: I mean, what drunk Las Vegas tourist wouldn’t love to watch the badass Bella Twins dressed as Bratz dolls brutally beat each other to pastel pink pulp? This was a million dollar act!

Well, Duo Rag Dolls obviously won’t make it to the next round, but there was an even creepier living doll that it will be: 10-year-old British screamo/metal singer Harper Akudama, who looked like an angel until she appeared on her mouth and out roared the impressively terrifying voice of a monster (or cookie monster). “That was awesome. It was like a mouse turning into a vampire bat,” marveled Simon, who is obviously a secret metal fan.

That’s how Harper made it to the next round, along with other young talents like 18-year-old Australian contemporary dancer Max Ostler (whom Simon dubbed “The Harry Styles of Dance”) and 13-year-old Eurovision Junior/The voice of Poland Alumnus Sara James, who received Simon’s Golden Buzzer. That leaves just two Golden Buzzers – Heidis and Sofias – in the game, so tune in next Tuesday for more auditions and to see if other mystery celebrities show up in Raggedy Annie disguise.
