Amber Heard went shopping with her sister at a TJ Maxx discount store in the Hamptons on Thursday amid a threatened $8.3 million judgment after she was in court earlier this month against her ex-husband Johnny Depp in her lost a multi-million dollar defamation lawsuit.
The 36-year-old actress wore blue jeans and a long-sleeved white button-down shirt while indulging in retail therapy with her younger sister Whitney Henriquez at the national retail chain’s Bridgehampton location, according to TMZ. According to the outlet, it’s unclear what – if anything – the pair bought from the store.
While Heard roamed the East Coast aisles in black slippers and blonde hair tied in a bun, Depp has “moved on” from the trial and took the stage on Sunday to perform with Jeff Beck at the Helsinki Blues Festival in Finland.
Depp was awarded $10.35 million in damages after a jury found Heard defamed Depp on all counts of domestic violence and sexual assault after a nearly seven-week trial in Virginia. Heard lost the defamation case but was awarded $2 million in her counterclaim when the jury found that Depp had defamed her through his attorney.
That Pirates of the Caribbean star initially sought a $50 million payout, and Heard countered with $100 million in damages.

Depp looked relaxed on stage, wearing a black vest over a long shirt with sleeves rolled up over his elbows to show off his tattoos while playing the guitar.
He’ll soon be releasing an album with his musical partner Beck, as the actor is reportedly “not even talking about the process anymore” and “just wants his career back.”
“The trial was necessary but he’s glad it’s over,” a source told People. “Although he’s relieved by the jury’s verdict, he’s not happy about it.”
Last week, Heard denied being “cut” from Aquaman 2 and called the rewrite of the claims “slightly insane” after reports surfaced that she had left the Warner Bros. film after the trial.
“The rumor mill has continued as it has from day one — inaccurate, insensitive, and slightly wacky,” Heard’s rep told Fox News Digital.
Heard portrayed Mera in the film and worked with Jason Momoa, Dolph Lundgren, Nicole Kidman and Willem Dafoe. the second movie “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” should appear in 2023.
“Warner Bros. decided to recast Amber Heard after testing the film. They will be re-recordings with Jason Momoa and Nicole Kidman,” sources told Just Jared.
A source later told the publication, “Amber was not completely cut from the film. She still has a very small role.”
Walter Hamada, president of the DC-based film production company, said in a pre-recorded statement played to the jury during the defamation trial that Heard and Momoa were not a good match, while Heard testified that her role was “slimmed down” because of her audience Fight with Depp.
“They didn’t really have a lot of chemistry together,” Hamada said on a tape recorded March 15, 2022. “I think editorially they were able to make that relationship work in the first film, but there were concerns that it took a lot of effort to get there.”
There was a delay in recasting the role of Mera in Aquaman 2 and Discussion of replacing Heard with an actress who had more “natural chemistry” with Momoa, he said, but the studio decided to go ahead with Heard.
“Was her role [in ‘Aquaman 2’] ever reduced for any reason?” asked Depp’s attorney, Ben Chew Hamada.

“No,” he replied.
Hamada said the film was originally planned as a “buddy comedy” and the role of Mera was always intended to be a supporting role.
He was called over Johnny Depp’s legal team as a rebuttal witness to undermine Heard’s claim that her role in Aquaman 2 was reduced after Depp allegedly conspired with his attorney to defame her in a series of statements made to the press.
On Friday, on NBC’s Dateline, Savannah Guthrie shared notes from her therapist documenting her reports of alleged abuse by her ex, dating back to 2012.
“There’s a binder full of year-long notes from 2012 from the beginning of my relationship that were made by my doctor to whom I reported the abuse,” she said.
The judge did not admit the evidence Fairfax County District Court process as it is considered hearsay.

The handwritten notes shown on the screen say that Heard reported that Depp allegedly “beat her, threw her against a wall and threatened to kill her” in a 2012 incident, according to the program.
Another document describes an incident eight months later, when she said Depp, 59, allegedly “ripped her nightgown and threw her on the bed.”
In 2013, the therapist allegedly recalled another statement from Heard after she claimed Depp “threw her against a wall and threatened to kill her.”
Heard said in an interview with Guthrie that she hoped her opinion would help restore her reputation.
“My goal, the only thing I can hope for at this point, is for people to see me as a person,” she said.
