Bieber, who has been recovering in the Bahamas and Coeur d’Alene, announced on June 10 that the right side of his face was temporarily paralyzed after contracting herpes zoster oticus.

“It’s from this virus that’s attacking the nerve in my ear and my facial nerves and has paralyzed my face,” explained the Canadian crooner – who has 550.5million social media followers.

“As you can see, that eye doesn’t blink. I can’t smile with this side of my face. That nostril won’t move, so that side of my face is completely paralyzed. So for those who are frustrated with my cancellations of the next shows, I’m just obviously not physically able to do them.

“It’s pretty serious, as you can see. I wish that wasn’t the case, but obviously my body is telling me to slow down. And I hope you understand that and I’m going to use this time to just rest and relax and get back to 100 percent so I can do what I was born to do. But in the meantime it’s not. I need to rest so I can get my face back where it’s supposed to be.’
