But Kanye not only spoke out against Kim, but also appeared to be at odds with her family, namely her mother, Kris Jenner. He branded the mother-daughter duo “white supremacists” and infamously called the matriarch “Kris Jong-Un” before sharing a screenshot of his texts with Kris asking her if she wanted to “go to war,” although she did not text him back.

Back then, Kim wholeheartedly defended Kanye, releasing a statement in July 2020 in which he spoke publicly about his bipolar disorder for the first time to help break the “stigma and misconceptions” surrounding mental health.

A few years earlier, she defended the rapper when he posted a series of tweets about his love for President Donald Trump. He continued to visit Trump at the White House while running his own presidential bid, which he later admitted had “embarrassed” Kim.

Now that Kim has split from Kanye — and entered a new relationship with Pete Davidson — it looks like she’s reflecting on the turbulent past marriage as openly as ever.

Khloé jumps in to defend her sister, telling Kim, “Most men don’t rip off their children’s mothers like that in public. We don’t have to sit here throwing back stones, we’ll take it by the chin.”

“You’re the mother of his kids,” Kris notes, adding that Kim “did nothing to Kanye but be awesome.” In a confessional, she continued: “When people say derogatory things about one of us, it hurts us all. Because one day your children will read everything and see everything. And that’s something that everyone really needs to be aware of.”

Shortly after the track’s release, Kanye spent months sharing Instagram posts slamming both Kim and Pete while the mogul remained largely silent.

“Kanye’s constant attacks on me in interviews and on social media are actually more hurtful than any TikTok North could cause,” Kim wrote.

“I wanted nothing but a healthy and supportive coparenting relationship,” she added. “It saddens me that Kanye continues to make it impossible at every step.”
