Kim Kardashian's tribute to Kanye West on Father's Day

Kim’s heartfelt Father’s Day tribute comes days after the exes got together to support North West at a basketball game last week.

If you’ve been following Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s messy divorce proceedings, you’re probably aware that things have hardly been easy between the exes since Kim filed for divorce in February 2021.

Though they appeared to have split fairly amicably within the first eight months of their marriage ending, things took a turn in November, around the time Kim went public with current boyfriend Pete Davidson.

Long story short, Ye has made it clear on numerous occasions that despite Kim’s new relationship with Pete, he still had hope of rekindling their marriage.

This, of course, led to a rather complicated situation, and as a result, Ye publicly harassed the couple on Instagram in February and March, even leaking private messages between the two parties.

Yes’s behavior caused major concern among his fans and followers, and he was eventually banned from his Instagram account for 24 hours in March after violating the platform’s harassment and bullying policies.

Since serving the ban, Ye has kept a low profile, with reports suggesting the rapper is seeking “behavioural treatment.”

On the other hand, since the feud ended, Kim and Pete have said very little about Ye and his actions, instead focusing on their relationship, with Pete recently spotted with two of Kim and Ye’s four children.

Well, looking ahead to today, Kim has publicly praised Ye for the first time since they clashed earlier this year, taking a moment to celebrate her former husband on Father’s Day.

On Sunday, Kim took to Instagram to share some sweet tributes to the important dads in her life, first remembering her dad Robert Kardashian before celebrating Caitlyn Jenner.

Afterward, Kim shed light on Ye with a brief but heartfelt note posing below a photo of the rapper with their children: North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm.

“Thank you for being the best father to our babies and for loving them the way you do!” she wrote. “Happy Father’s Day, Ye.”

Given that the Skims founder has made it clear throughout the split that she hopes to maintain a solid co-parenting relationship with her ex, it’s not surprising that she’s making praising him as a father a priority.

That being said, Kim’s Father’s Day tribute comes less than two weeks after Ye’s birthday on June 8, when, interestingly, she decided not to wish him a happy birthday on social media.

In fact, this is the first time she’s left without publicly celebrating the occasion since they began dating over a decade ago.

But despite forgoing a birthday wish, the exes appear to be on good terms at the moment after they were spotted together at North’s basketball game last Friday.

In photos obtained by TMZ, the former couple could be seen sitting in close proximity to each other and supporting their eldest daughter. According to other viewers of the game, Kim and Kanye occasionally chatted and kept a low profile.

And with all of that in mind, it certainly seems like things could be looking good for Kimye as they navigate the final stages of their divorce.
