Piers Morgan's Prince Louis tweet explodes over 'Aunt' Meghan Markle's joke

Meghan Markle made her first appearance with the royal family since she spectacularly destroyed them in front of the world and Oprah Winfrey – and The Post’s Piers Morgan watched closely.

The outspoken British commentator – who has long been a vocal critic of the former “Suits” star – took to Twitter share a snarky joke over Markle’s royal return, which quickly exploded online.

Morgan compiled a series of viral photos showing young Prince Louis wincing and screaming on the balcony of Buckingham Palace before cheekily tweeting, “Is that when Aunt Meghan arrived?”

The tweet quickly garnered more than 17,000 likes, and many people praised Morgan for saying what was on their mind.

“The huge reaction to my tweet perfectly sums up public opinion about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex,” Morgan told The Post on Friday. “Most people were laughing because after all their hypocritical money-grabbing antics against the royals, they’re now the world’s laughing stock.”

However, the host of new global TV show Piers Morgan Uncensored added: “But Meghan and Harry’s dwindling number of humorlessly deluded woke fans have once again become furious because they genuinely believe the Sussexes are the world’s biggest victims. That belief, like my tweet, is hilarious.”

Taking to Twitter, the peanut gallery quipped: “All the UK more like!” one person wroteand claimed all Britons had the same dramatic reaction to Markle.

“They were booed when they went on duty. I hope this is on Netflix.” another intervenedreferring to the chilly reception Markle and her husband Prince Harry received at an event at St Paul’s Cathedral.

Indeed, some have had issues with Morgan for singleing out Markle during the Queen’s platinum jubilee celebrations, as he has long criticized her.

“Out of all the things that could have been posted on a day of celebration and people coming together, you pick this. Why the need for such meanness?!” asked a Twitter user.

“I knew you couldn’t go 4 days without mentioning Meghan. But I figured you’d skip it, at least on day one, out of respect for the Queen,” snapped another.

Markle and her husband Prince Harry are pictured in London on Friday. It was the first time Markle has seen many members of the royal family face to face since her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021.

Morgan and Markle were once friends, and the pair once drank together in a British pub in 2016.

“We spent two hours in a pub, she had some dirty martinis, I had some pints, we hit it off great,” Morgan explained in 2018. “And then I put her in a cab, and it parked.” turned out to be a taxi that took her to a party where she met Prince Harry. And the next night they had a solo dinner together and that was the last I heard from Meghan Markle.”

“She spooked me,” Morgan said then. “Meghan Markle scared me.”

The Post columnist has since been skeptical of the star’s motives, slamming her after she blasted the royal family in her interview with Oprah Winfrey last year.

During this sensational session, the multiracial actress leveled racism allegations against an unnamed member of the royal family, saying there were “concerns about how dark” her son Archie’s skin would be.

She also claimed that she had suicidal thoughts while living in the UK and performing duties as a working member of the royal family.

Morgan subsequently recanted Markle’s claim that her mental health was suffering and infamously stormed off the set of Good Morning Britain after a colleague criticized him for not believing her claims.

Morgan refused to apologize for his comments and was fired from the prime morning show. He has since returned with his own show, Piers Morgan Uncensored.

Meanwhile, Prince Louis became the real star of Thursday’s Trooping of the Color event, which kicked off the four-day celebrations of Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.

The 4-year-old was caught on camera making a series of exaggerated facial expressions as he joined his family on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, to great cheers from the crowd in the mall.

The snaps – used by Morgan for his tweet – were broadcast around the world and inspired a number of hilarious memes.
