Rebel Wilson shared that her amazing weight loss of over 80 pounds was inspired by her desire to be a mother.
For years she was open about considering the possibility of freezing her eggs. But when she did see a fertility doctor, he told her it would be best if she got “healthier” before she started thinking about a family.
And although the 42-year-old star is on a date (she is yet to reveal her boyfriend’s name), she has considered becoming a single parent. “I would like to have a family. I’m just doing it on my own right now because of the biological clock,” she told People.

Rebel was recently unveiled at the U Up? Podcast that she’s “happily in a relationship” with a mystery man she was introduced to by a mutual friend.
In her new ‘People’ interview, she said: “When I meet the right person it’s great and then they can adapt to whatever happens. It’s great that the technology exists. You have so many options with surrogacy and sperm donation.”
She shared, “I didn’t start thinking about fertility until I was 39, so you feel pretty late, but then there are women in their mid-40s who have been successful.”
Rebel added, “Look at Janet Jackson, it’s quite inspiring,” referring to the fact that Janet gave birth to her son when she was 50.

Speaking to a doctor about fertility treatments, “He looked me over and said, ‘You would be a lot better if you were healthier.'”
Rebel confessed: I was amazed. I was like, “Oh god, this guy is so rude.” He was right. I was carrying a lot of excess weight.’
She shared: “It’s almost like I haven’t thought of my own needs. I thought of the needs of a future child that really inspired me to become healthier.’
The Bachelorette star also suffers from a hormonal disorder called polycystic ovary syndrome, which can lead to fertility problems by inhibiting ovulation.
Proud of her work: Rebel said that Fat Amy, her Pitch Perfect role, was “probably the most popular character I’ve ever played” because she “loved to represent and I was so confident.”
She has insisted that her fitness journey “wasn’t a goal to hit a certain weight. It was just the healthiest version of myself.’
Declaring 2020 her “Year of Health,” the Pitch Perfect actress stunned her fans as she shed the pounds and documented the results on Instagram.
Rebel, who is 5’3″ tall, has previously praised Vivamayr, a luxury medical center and holistic retreat on Lake Altaussee, Austria, for her amazing weight loss journey.
Now she’s revealed that the process of improving her health included dealing with the emotional issues that caused me to eat emotionally, and it’s a process. You cry a lot, analyze things. I had never done that before.’
Frank: Rebel, pictured in Pitch Perfect 3 with Anna Kendrick, remarked, “Sometimes it’s difficult to do a photoshoot next to your fellow actress, and she’s a third your height.”
The Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie actress shared, “It’s really hard to understand why you don’t feel worthy when people look at my life on paper and say you’ve done all these amazing things. I’m trying to overcome that.”
Although Fat Amy, her Pitch Perfect role, “was probably the most popular character I’ve ever played” because she “loved to represent and I was so confident,” she still had to deal with being “sometimes ‘ to feel ‘unsafe’.
Rebel, whose Pitch Perfect co-stars included Anna Kendrick and Hailee Steinfeld, noted, “Sometimes it’s difficult to do a photoshoot next to your coworker, and she’s a third your height.”
She mused, “I was sort of invisible even when I was an international movie star. And then suddenly having people want to carry your groceries, do nice things for you just because you look like that, that’s interesting.”
As seen in 2013: She told People while discussing fertility treatments with her doctor, “He looked me up and down and said, ‘You would do a lot better if you were healthier.’
The Australian comedy star added: “I know what it’s like to be on the other side of this coin. And now I know what it’s like to get positive attention. There is a societal bias towards what society considers good looking.”
She conceded: “It’s not right. It sucks, it’s unfair. I’m sad when someone doesn’t love the body they’re in. They want to celebrate all body types, but I also want to encourage people to be healthy.
“I can really identify with every woman who has been through this. It was an emotional roller coaster ride. I don’t know how it will end. But I’m still young enough to try.”
She explained on Instagram Live in late 2020 that when I’m losing weight, I try to stay under 1,500 calories, again because of my body type.

However, once she reached her target weight of 75 kg (about 165 lbs), she began to “move more into a maintenance phase and probably be around 2,000/2,500 because I train like a beast.”
Rebel has also previously revealed that her previous lowest weight before the Year of Health was caused by a life-threatening bout of malaria.
“I was at my skinniest when I had malaria, when I almost died, when I came out of the hospital everyone was like, ‘Wow, what did you do?’ I almost died…” she said.
