The Queen issued a statement on Sunday to conclude her platinum jubilee weekend.

“When it comes to celebrating 70 years as your Queen, there is no guide to follow. It’s really a first. But I’m deeply impressed and deeply touched that so many people took to the streets to celebrate my platinum anniversary,” read the statement released by Buckingham Palace.

“Although I may not have personally attended every event, my heart was with you all; and I remain committed to serving you to the best of my ability, supported by my family.

“I was inspired by the kindness, joy and connection that has been so evident over the last few days and I hope this renewed sense of togetherness will be felt for many years to come.

“I sincerely thank you for your well wishes and for the role you all played in these happy celebrations.”

Comedian and actress Meera Syal couldn’t help but join in on Sunday as Bollywood dancers performed during the Platinum Jubilee Pageant.

Footage of their dance was shared on Twitter, where it received more than 19,000 likes.

“You hear these drums and gotta dance… #itsAPunjabiThing,” Syal wrote on Twitter.

Syal sat next to her husband, Sanjeev Bhaskar, who watched while his wife danced next to him.

When asked by Twitter users why he didn’t participate, Bhaskar joked that he was the designated driver for the night.

Dan Levy has responded to a meme comparing Prince George and Princess Charlotte to his at the Queen’s Jubilee Schott’s Creek Character.

The young royals made several appearances at events over the long weekend, with one photo appearing to show George, eight, and Charlotte, seven, sneering.

A viral tweet compared the kids to David (Levy) and Alexis Rose (Annie Murphy), the spoiled grown-up kids on the hit Canadian sitcom Schott’s Creek.

“They are her,” wrote comedian Rohita Kadambi while showing the royals and the characters side-by-side. The post was liked more than 134,000 times.

Luckily, Levy saw the funny side and simply commented, “lol” on the post.
