John Hilgert of Hunters Creek Village was identified Saturday as one of the concert fatalities by officials at Memorial High School, where he was a freshman.

Hilgert attended the Friday concert with his longtime friend Robby Hendrix, 15.

Henrdix’s mother, Tracy Faulkner, bought the ticket for her son’s birthday and “ultimately regrets the decision.”

“Everything about that night was a tragedy,” Faulkner told the Houston Chronicle. “They were both in the same place at the same time and one came home and one we’ll never see.”

She said Hilgret and Hendrix had known each other for years and played football together.

“John was a good student and athlete and so polite. He was the sweetest and smartest young man,” she shared.

Brianna Rodriguez was a dancer and a junior in high school. On Saturday, her family confirmed that she was one of the eight victims who died.

A GoFundMe account set up by her family described her as a “beautiful, vibrant 16-year-old.”

“Dancing was her passion and now she dances her way to the pearly gates of heaven.”

Jacob Jurinek, 20

Jacob Jurinek was attending the concert with his best friend Franco Patino when both were trampled to death. The couple grew up in the same Illinois town of Naperville.

A friend named Ana Lissa Marie was dismayed by the death of Jurinek, who was studying art and media at Southern Illinois University and had traveled to Houston with Patino to celebrate Jurinek’s birthday.

“I’ve lost all my respect for Travis Scott,” she tweeted.

“What happened was absolutely disgusting. RIP to all who lost their lives. To Jacob Jurinek, you will be missed, boy. thanks for all the laughs.

“My condolences to all families who have lost their lives.”

The University of Dayton confirmed to DailyMail.com that Naperville, Illinois, student Franco Patino attended Friday’s concert in Houston.

The mechanical engineering major has been involved in several campus extracurriculars and most recently worked in a co-op program in Mason, Ohio.

University President Eric F. Spina offered his condolences and prayers to Patino’s loved ones and the campus community.

Patino’s Brotherhood, Alpha Psi Lambda, also offered his condolences to his friends and family.

“It is with a very heavy heart that Alpha Psi Lambda National, Inc announces that our brother, Franco ‘Cuauhocelotl’ Patino, has joined Omega Chapter,” the organization wrote on Facebook.

“We extend our condolences to his family, friends, the Alpha Nu Chapter and everyone who shares this loss. May his memory last forever.’

The college senior joined the Dayton University chapter last year.

“You have to change things in these kinds of events,” he said.

“Today it was me. i lost my son It could have been you,” Acosta said.

“When you send your kid to have fun because someone else doesn’t give the right… I don’t know if I can explain it. The right security.

“Because it’s not the first time he’s been to big events, right?

“You can go to Disneyland and have fun. You can go to a baseball game and have fun. Because they have the right security, the right people, some people to help the injured.

‘It is hard to explain.’

Rodolfo “Rudy” Pena, 23

Peña, from Laredo, Texas, died of cardiac arrest after injuring himself at the show.

He was a medical assistant and criminal justice major with aspirations of becoming a model and dreamed of one day being a US Border Patrol agent.

“What happened last weekend is a direct consequence of what happens when the pursuit of financial gain and fame takes precedence over protecting the lives of innocent people,” the Almaraz law firm, which represents the Peñas, said in a statement.

“It’s a testament to the current state of live events and the greed that is rampant in this industry.

“No one should feel insecure about enjoying something they love, and unfortunately that’s what happened.

“We pledge to work diligently and responsibly to bring justice to the Peña family and all those affected, and we will not rest until these voices are heard loud and clear.

“We will hold those responsible accountable and fight to turn this unmitigated disaster into something positive. Something has to change. Something will change.”

Dubiski studied at the University of Mississippi between 2016 and 2017 and worked in advertising and marketing. She attended Cy-Fair High School, where she was a varsity cheerleader and a member of the National Charity League, a nonprofit organization for mothers and their daughters in middle and high school.

Friends said her mother Michelle was her best friend and that she was very close to Ty, who graduated from Cy-Fair in 2019.

Danish Baig, 27

Basil Mirza Baig announced on Facebook on Saturday that his brother Danish Baig also died at Astroworld.

“My brother was killed in this horrible event, mismanaged and overseen by such horrible people,” Baig wrote.

“People were kicked, walked and trampled on. My brother tried to save my sister-in-law from these horrible acts done to her while losing his life.”

Baig described Danish as a beautiful soul who puts everyone before himself.

“Last night he showed his brave act to save my sister-in-law from these terrible things that were done. I am speechless and in true trauma from this event,” he added.

“I was there and couldn’t save my brother. People were hitting and pushing and not caring about anyone’s life.’

Baig also accused the rapper of provoking the chaos by “calling people onto the stage to jump into the crowd” and “not stopping the show.”

“It’s not the end,” Baig warned. “My family and I will do everything we can to ensure that he is brought to justice.”

Shahani, a Texas A&M elder, was critically injured at Astroworld and was on a ventilator at Houston Methodist Hospital, where she was taken after the concert.

She was declared brain dead and taken off the ventilator shortly thereafter. She was the ninth person to die from the mass flood.

It was the first festival Shahani had ever attended, her family said.

Her family’s attorney, James Lassitier, said: “Bharti was a shining star in the community.”

“She was a sister, a daughter, a high-flying college student about to graduate from Texas A&M University with very high marks.”

Ezra Blount, 9

Blount was the tenth – and youngest – person to die as a result of the Astroworld Festival.

He had been trampled at the concert, placed in a medically induced coma, and was on life support for a week before succumbing to his injuries.

The boy had spent the concert on his father Treston Blount’s shoulders.

Treston passed out from lack of oxygen and was unable to locate his son when we regained consciousness.

By the time the father-son couple was reunited, Blount had suffered swelling in his brain as well as “trauma to almost every organ.”
