Apple and Major League Soccer will present all MLS games worldwide for ten years from 2023
In a historic first for the sport, fans will be able to stream every single MLS game through the Apple TV app, with no local outages or restrictions
Cupertino, California Apple and Major League Soccer (MLS) today announced that starting in 2023, the Apple TV app will be the exclusive one-stop shop to watch every single MLS game live around the world, to all MLS, Leagues Cup,1 and select MLS NEXT Pro and MLS NEXT matches in one place – without local broadcast breaks or the need for a traditional pay-TV package.
From early 2023 through 2032, fans can watch every MLS game live by subscribing to a new MLS streaming service, available exclusively through the Apple TV app. In addition to all game content, the service offers fans a new weekly live game show so they don’t miss an exciting goal or save, as well as game replays, highlights, analysis and other original programming. This live and on-demand MLS content provides in-depth, behind-the-scenes insights into the players and clubs that fans love. A wide range of MLS and Leagues Cup games, including some of the biggest fixtures, will also be available to Apple TV+ subscribers at no additional cost, with a limited number of games available free of charge. As an added benefit for fans, access to the new MLS streaming service will be part of MLS full-season ticket packages.
MLS live and on-demand content on the Apple TV app will be available to anyone with internet access on any device where the app can be found, including iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD; Samsung, LG, Panasonic, Sony, TCL, VIZIO and other smart TVs; Amazon Fire TV and Roku devices; PlayStation and Xbox game consoles; Chromecast with Google TV; and Comcast Xfinity. At launch, all MLS and Leagues Cup games will feature announcers announcing action in English and Spanish, and all games involving Canadian teams will be available in French. Apple and MLS are also offering fans improved league and club coverage so they can easily follow the league or their favorite clubs on Apple News, with the ability to watch highlights right in the News app.
