At one point, Boston was leading 2-1 in the series and things seemed to be going their way. It seems unlikely that Curry will have two consecutive poor shooting performances. The good news for the Celtics is that they have proved adept after losses this postseason. They are 7-1 straight from a loss in the playoffs, with their only loss coming in Game 5 against Golden State. Also, they can play in front of their home fans, so maybe they’ll get a boost from them.

Andrew Wiggins had his best game of the postseason with 26 points and 13 rebounds, Klay Thompson lost 21 points, and Jordan Poole and Gary Payton II combined for 29 points off the bench. Will Golden State get similar input from these guys in Game 6? Because if so, Warriors fans should get ready to pop the champagne. The Warriors have been in trouble this postseason by over-relying on Curry on offense, but when he gets help, they’re extremely difficult to down. Also, we can probably assume that Curry will shoot at least a little better off the field than he did in Game 5.

Celts: If Boston wants to extend its season, it has to take care of the ball. The Celtics had 18 turnovers leading to 22 points for Golden State in Game 5, and that just isn’t enough against a team as dangerous and explosive as the Warriors. Live ball turnovers are particularly tough against the Warriors as they are deadly in transition. This has been a trend all postseason. Basically, the Celtics win when they care about the ball. Boston will also need a great performance from Jayson Tatum, who has been kept under 30 points in every Finals game so far. Tatum was selected to the All-NBA First Team this season, and simply put, he needs to play it. Tatum needs to be aggressive from the jump and set the tone for the Celtics. If Boston can take care of the ball and get a stellar play from Tatum, then maybe this series will go the distance. If not, then the Warriors will likely celebrate in front of the Boston faithful.
