Warriors vs. Celtics NBA Finals: Game 6 Prediction, Tips, TV Channel, Live Stream, How to Watch Online

The stakes couldn’t be higher when the Boston Celtics take on the Golden State Warriors in Game 6 of the NBA Finals on Thursday night. A win will keep their championship hopes alive and force a crucial Game 7. A loss will end their season and the Warriors will win their fourth ring in the last eight years under coach Steve Kerr.

At one point, Boston was leading 2-1 in the series and things seemed to be going their way. However, two consecutive poor performances in the fourth quarter have now brought the Celtics to the brink of elimination. Particularly sobering for the Celtics is the fact that they kept Steph Curry scoreless from across the arc in Game 5 and still couldn’t walk away with a win. It seems unlikely that Curry will have two consecutive poor shooting performances. The good news for the Celtics is that they have proved adept after losses this postseason. They are 7-1 straight from a loss in the playoffs, with their only loss coming in Game 5 against Golden State. Also, they can play in front of their home fans, so maybe they’ll get a boost from them.

Here’s everything you need to know about Game 6 between Boston and Golden State.

Featured Game | Boston Celtics vs. Golden State Warriors

warrior: When Steph Curry fought in Game 5, the characters performed around him. Andrew Wiggins had his best game of the postseason with 26 points and 13 rebounds, Klay Thompson lost 21 points, and Jordan Poole and Gary Payton II combined for 29 points off the bench. Will Golden State get similar input from these guys in Game 6? Because if so, Warriors fans should get ready to pop the champagne. The Warriors have been in trouble this postseason by over-relying on Curry on offense, but when he gets help, they’re extremely difficult to down. Also, we can probably assume that Curry will shoot at least a little better off the field than he did in Game 5.

Celts: If Boston wants to extend its season, it has to take care of the ball. The Celtics had 18 turnovers leading to 22 points for Golden State in Game 5, and that just isn’t enough against a team as dangerous and explosive as the Warriors. Live ball turnovers are particularly tough against the Warriors as they are deadly in transition. This has been a trend all postseason. Basically, the Celtics win when they care about the ball. If they don’t, they lose.

Boston will also need a great performance from Jayson Tatum, who has been kept under 30 points in every Finals game so far. Tatum was selected to the All-NBA First Team this season, and simply put, he needs to play it. Tatum needs to be aggressive from the jump and set the tone for the Celtics. If Boston can take care of the ball and get a stellar play from Tatum, then maybe this series will go the distance. If not, then the Warriors will likely celebrate in front of the Boston faithful.

prediction, tips

With their season in limbo and playing in front of their home fans, one would think the Celtics would have enough energy and focus to pull off a win and extend the streak. At least that’s what most fans outside of California should be hoping for. After all, there are no better two words in esports than “Game 7”. The NBA Finals hasn’t seen a seventh game since 2016 when the LeBron James-led Cavaliers came back 3-1 to defeat the Warriors, but this year they could do it. Choice: Celtics -4
