Your iPhone Browsers, like most things, can benefit from a little routine maintenance. Over time, they become digitally cluttered, which can slow down page load times or sometimes cause pages to load incorrectly.
Whether you prefer it chrome or Safari or any other browser, it’s a good idea to clear your cache regularly. This speeds up your phone while you surf the web, regardless of whether you’re using it iOS 15 or the iOS 16 public beta. You can also Manage your iPhone’s storage so that it runs fast again. Think of it like clearing your digital countertops.
Usually, visiting a website requires your phone to download information such as photos, banners, and other data. To speed up this process, most internet browsers store some of this data in a cache so that it can be retrieved more easily. You throw your keys on the kitchen counter because next time you can easily take them with you.
It becomes more uncomfortable when your browser’s cache is outdated and the data retrieved no longer matches the data actually used on the website. The result? Slower loading speeds and shaky website formatting. This is the equivalent of throwing away your keys and your mail, your coat, your reusable mug and whatever else is on your counter. Suddenly you have no space to do anything.
This is why clearing your cache can help: it gives websites a fresh start in your browser and frees up some space in your storage. Note that clearing your cache will sign you out of sites you are currently signed in to. Still, it’s generally worth having a slight inconvenience every now and then to move things along quickly.
Here are step-by-step guides on how to clear your cache on your iPhone based on browsers You use.

What happens when you clear the cache?
Clearing your cache will remove the website data that your phone has stored locally, to prevent having to download that data on each new visit. The data in your cache builds up over time and can slow things down if it gets too large. (When I checked, my phone had about 150MB of data stored in Chrome.) Clearing this data can restart websites, which may fix some loading errors and speed up your browser. However, clearing the cache will also log you out of pages, so be prepared to log back into everything.
How often do I have to clear my cache?
Most people only need to clear their caches every month or two. That’s generally the point at which your browser builds up a cache big enough to slow things down. If you visit a large number of websites, it is better to clear your cache more often.
