The upcoming 2022 MacBook Air is unlikely to come in a similar color palette to the 24-inch iMac, Apple says Bloombergis Mark Gurman. In a tweet, Gurman says the MacBook Air will likely come in standard Space Gray, Silver, and Gold colors, similar to previous models.
Reports of multiple color options are probably “exaggerated,” according to Gurman, who says he doesn’t expect much more than the typical “MacBook Air” colors, but the gold hue could be more of a champagne. He also says it will be available in his “favorite color “iMac”, a shade of blue.
The much-cited idea that the new MacBook Air will come in a range of “multiple colors” is probably an exaggeration. At the moment it is available in space grey, silver and gold. I wouldn’t expect more than these colors (although the new gold will be more champagne-y) plus my favorite iMac color. pic.twitter.com/vYl56FOikg

The “MacBook Air” is rumored to come with cream bezels and a cream-colored keyboard, showing similarities to the 24-inch “iMac” and raising expectations for a wider color palette. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said in March the next “MacBook Air” will offer “more color options,” but he didn’t give specific details, and there were no concrete rumors about color options.
The upcoming “MacBook Air” is expected to feature a redesigned body similar to the MacBook Pro, eliminating the tapered design. It’s not clear yet if there will be a notch, but it seems like a possibility.
Some rumors suggest that the “MacBook Air” will have a next-gen M2 chip, but Apple analyst “Ming-Chi Kuo” believes it will continue to use an M1 chip, with Apple using the new one instead Offers design as its main selling point.
The “MacBook Air” could be unveiled as early as next Monday, as Gurman has said Apple could unveil it at the Worldwide Developers Conference. To learn more about what to expect from the WWDC keynote, we have a dedicated guide that outlines all the rumors we’ve heard so far.
