Intel’s first custom Arc graphics card, the GUNNIR Arc A380 Photon 6GB, featuring a full ACM-G11 GPU, is pictured.
GUNNIR introduces the Arc A380 Photon 6GB Graphics Card, the first Intel Arc custom design starting at $150
GUNNIR has become a very popular graphics card manufacturer in the Asia-Pacific OEM and pre-built PC segments. They were among the first to offer custom flavored variants of the DG1 graphics card and are now back with the first DG2 custom graphics card, the GUNNIR Arc A380 Photon, boasting 6GB of GDDR6 memory and the full ACM-G11 GPU features from Intel.

The Intel Arc A380 graphics card will be an entry-level design with the full ACM-G11 GPU leveraging the Alchemist Xe-HPG architecture. It houses the full GPU configuration and uses 8 Xe cores or 1024 ALUs. The graphics card also features 6GB of GDDR6 memory with a TBP power of around 92W. The maximum frequency for the card is 2450MHz, showing that Intel is taking full advantage of TSMC’s 6nm process node. GUNNIR’s custom model features a 15.5Gbps VRAM clock for 186GB/s bandwidth, while the reference model features a 16Gbps clock for 192GB/s bandwidth.
As for the graphics card itself, the GUNNIR Arc A380 Photon comes in standard packaging that includes the Intel Arc 3, XeSS, and DirectX 12 Ultimate marketing logos. The graphics card itself is a dual-slot, dual-fan design that houses an aluminum heatsink underneath. The shroud and backplate feature a beautiful two-tone black and gray color theme, and the backplate extends beyond the circuit board. There is a single 6mm nickel-plated copper heatpipe that runs through the heatsink.
It’s not known if the card uses a custom PCB or a reference design, but it comes with a single 8-pin power connector to boot and houses a 2+1 phase VRM design. The shroud features the “Intel Arc” logo on the side and a GUNNIR Photon logo that lights up with LED lighting, giving even the entry-level card a more premium look.
Intel Arc Alchemist Mobile GPUs are now fully supported in Vulkan 1.3
There is also a blue and black trim on the backplate which improves the look of the card. Display outputs include three DisplayPort and a single HDMI output. The fans are two 90mm designs and the card measures 222 × 114 × 42mm.
The Intel Arc A380 reference graphics card has also been officially announced for the Chinese market. The card features a dual slot and single fan design. Compared to the GUNNIR variant, which rocks an overclocked design, the reference model boasts a clock speed of 2000MHz plus a TBP of 75W, meaning it doesn’t require an external power connector. The graphics card will ship this summer in various pre-built versions from leading manufacturers such as ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, ACER, etc. and will also be available in custom DIY variants such as the GUNNIR model above.
Although the GUNNIR Arc A380 Photon 6GB graphics card has been made official, we expect the card will remain a GPU offering for the Asian market only, while other manufacturers will continue to sell the Arc A380 and the rest of the high-end range through to other regions will launch later this summer. The graphics card is currently priced at 1030 Chinese yuan or $150, which is a very reasonable price for the entry-level segment given the features included. The only question now is when it will be available in other regions.
In terms of performance, Intel claims that the Arc A380 is up to 25% faster than the AMD Radeon RX 6400 4GB graphics card, which should take it around the $50 less RX 6500 XT. Below are the official test performance results provided by Intel:
