Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest Showcase has finally arrived in 2022, promising game announcements, reveals and more.
We already know some of the games that will be featured at this Summer Game Fest including Gotham Knights, The Callisto Protocol, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Street Fighter 6 and Marvel’s Midnight Suns, but there are sure to be many surprises in store .
There’s sure to be a slew of announcements, and this roundup will bring everyone together to make sure you don’t miss a thing. We’ll be updating this article throughout the show, so stay tuned!
Street Fighter 6 to see Guile return
A new gameplay trailer for Street Fighter 6 has revealed that Guile will return for the latest entry in the iconic fighting series. In the new footage, we see Guile fighting Luke and Ryu in an updated version of Guile’s Air Force Base.
Aliens: Dark Descent to once again face Xenomorphs in 2023
A brand new game set in the universe of the Alien franchise will be released in 2023. We didn’t learn much about what the game was, but a movie trailer revealed the tone of what players can expect. The trailer ends with Marines fighting Xenomorphs from a top-down perspective, possibly indicative of what the gameplay will be like.
The first of Callisto Protocol’s expanded gameplay reveals more of the terrifying journey that the player will embark on later this year
Callisto Protocol promises to be one of the scariest games ever made, and the first expanded gameplay footage confirms that it’s well on its way to making that nightmare a reality. In the gameplay demo we see brutal deaths not only for the enemies but also for our main character. It also appears to feature shootable limbs that drop down a la Dead Space.
The Callisto Protocol will be released on December 2, 2022.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 gameplay demo teases new game’s campaign
Lieutenant Simon “Ghost” Riley and Sergeant John “Soap” Mctavish return in the latest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 campaign gameplay demo. The Dark Water demo takes place aboard a boat sailing through a storm, and we get glimpses of more open gameplay outdoors and tighter combat situations indoors.
Although not shown, Captain John Price and Sergeant Kyle “Gaz” Garrick will also be part of the story again when Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 launches on October 27, 2022.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns Trailer Reveals Spider-Man And Release Date
A new trailer for Marvel’s Midnight Sons has not only revealed that Spider-Man will be joining its roster, but also confirmed that the XCOM-style game will be released on October 7th, 2022. The trailer also featured main villain Lilith and Corrupted versions of Venom, Sabertooth, Scarlet Witch and Hulk.

Cuphead in action in The Delicious Last Course Chalice gameplay shows
The long awaited Cuphead in The Delicious Last Course is almost here as it releases on June 30th. During the Summer Game Fest Showcase, we were treated to a look at Delicious Last Course gameplay featuring new character Chalice.
Stylish card-based shooter Neon White will be released on June 16th
Neon White, the stylish card-based shooter/platformer, will be released on June 16, 2022. Developed by Donut County creator Ben Esposito, Neon White will be available for both PC and Nintendo Switch.
Flashback 2 is the long-awaited sequel to the 1992 sci-fi platformer
The original Flashback was released in 1992 and is set to return with Flashback 2 in winter 2022. The original had gameplay similar to Prince of Persia and Another World, and we shouldn’t have to wait too long for more details on how it’s going to play this year.

Frost Giant, a studio made up of former Blizzard employees, has unveiled its new post-apocalypse RTS, Stormgate. While we’ve only seen a theatrical trailer, it showed a female archaeologist crafting an ancient shield out of artifacts before being rudely interrupted by a giant demon. Luckily, a mech-clad ally rushes in to save the day.
Stormgate will be in beta in 2023 and will be free to play after its release.
Goat Simulator 3 was announced with a parody trailer of Dead Island 2
Before you look, there’s no Goat Simulator 2. However, that didn’t stop Goat Simulator 3 from being announced with a Dead Island 2 parody trailer. We haven’t seen any gameplay, but it appears to once again showcase all the wild antics of the games’ favorite goats.
