Disney was the one who said, ‘Go on! It’s a great opportunity.” I thought it would be difficult to pull off because it might clash with established lore Kingdom Hearts and the Disney worlds, so it was an opportunity that I had to weigh very carefully. After seeing how happy everyone was about welcoming Sora Smash Bros. UltimateI feel like the end result was really great.”

This contradicts what many suspected.was the biggest hurdle to getting Sora to do it smashed: Disney itself. Many assumed that given Disney’s tight grip on its intellectual property, there would be no way for the Keyblade wielder to fight alongside Nintendo icons like Bowser and Mario.
